The National Pay Council has recommended the following rates of compensation payable as from 1^st July 2009:

 

1.            A compensation of 5.1% to workers drawing salary of less than or equal to Rs3800 per month.

 

2.            For salaries above Rs3800 and up to Rs12000 the rate of compensaton is Rs200.

 

3.      We are providing this information in advance so that you can better plan your payroll for July 2009.

 

We will issue an MEF Guidance Note as soon as the Additional Remuneration Act 2009 is enacted and thereafter published in the Government Gazette.
